Our Commitment to Quality and Fair Wages
At Seedlings, we believe that high-quality early childhood education starts with highly skilled and dedicated teachers. Our tuition reflects our commitment to paying our educators as professionals--our teachers receive competitive wages, ongoing training, health benefits, paid holiday breaks, and paid sick leave. By investing in our teachers, we are investing in a nurturing, respectful, and enriching environment for your child.
There is a one-time, non-refundable enrollment fee of $300 per child to confirm your child’s spot, and a refundable deposit.
Tuition is subject to change, with two months’ notice. Families can expect annual tuition adjustments that help keep our program sustainable, support rising operating costs, and ensure our staff continue to earn competitive, living wages. Increases are typically in the 3–7% range, though the exact percentage is reviewed and determined each year.
Calendar and Hours
Seedlings is open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We are a year round program. We take off one week in the Spring, one week in the Summer, a few days around Thanksgiving, and a little over a week in the Winter, as well as single-day holidays here and there. We try to align our breaks with those of PPS for the convenience of parents with older children. Check out the calendar below for all our closure dates. We follow Portland Public School's inclement weather closures.
(tuition is not discounted or prorated for closures.)

Financial Support for Families
We believe high-quality early childhood education should be accessible to all families.
Seedlings is happy to work with families who receive ERDC or other child care funding support. If your family qualifies for a program or subsidy, we’re glad to coordinate with your funding source and complete any necessary steps to make it work.
Please reach out if you’re using, or exploring, a funding program—we’re always happy to help find a way forward together.
