Daily Rhythm

Infants' Room (cohort of children ages 3 months to 7 months in August 2024)

The daily rhythm is set by the infants in our care, and is unique to each child's needs. Our days will include:

Children's Room (ages 2 years-5 years)

Breakfast

Free play (usually indoors)

Clean up

Community circle

Outdoor free play

Lunch time

Quiet rest

Snack

Free play (indoors or outdoors)

The specifics of our Daily Rhythm can change in response to the needs of the children. There is one thing that will always remain the same, with any group of children: our priority is to give the children as much time for uninterrupted free play as we possibly can.

We go outside for long chunks of time every day, with the specific time frame varying based on the children’s current interests and chosen activities. Some days we may be outside for all of our play time, and even meals or circle times as well. Other days, the children may be completely engrossed in something indoors, and we may have a bit less time outside. Both our indoor and outdoor play environments are designed to encourage deep engagement and learning through free play.
